Twelve years after Voices from Another Place brought us a collection of creative works from a generation born in Korea and adopted internationally, it's time to hear again from Asian adoptees. The writings and art in this anthology reflect their unique experiences, and offer a deeper understanding of international adoption and the families (both birth and adoptive) it touches.
The differences among adoptees and their reflections on adoption are apparent among the authors and artists who contributed to this book. What they have in common is their beginnings. All of them were born to families from another country, culture, race, and nationality. Their connection to a common history is reflected in More Voices. They raise their voices in hope that their stories will ensure that children who need families - wherever they are - will have them.
